Curriculum
The curriculum for the blind child is larger and more complex than is the curriculum for the sighted child. Sighted students learn many experiences and concepts simply by observation. The blind child must learn these concepts by careful and specific instruction.
The Louis Braille School expands the traditional academic curriculum to include skills that prepare students to take their places within the greater community. Such skills include concept development, spatial understanding, organization, and speaking and listening skills.
