State Board of Education Approves Louis Braille School

The Washington State Board of Education fully approved the Louis Braille School as a private day school for blind or visually impaired children in kindergarten through grade eight.

In making its decision, the Board considered staff, curriculum, policies and procedures, student/parent handbook, daily schedule, yearly calendar, number of instructional hours per day and days per year.

Three remaining inspections to be conducted by the local fire department, the Snohomish County Health Department, and the Federal EPA will assure the school building meets health and safety standards.
