The Fred Meyer Foundation
The Louis Braille School was chosen by The Fred Meyer Foundation to be the recipient of a community grant for this year’s summer Braille Camp. The Foundation’s generous donation to the Louis Braille School will help supply funds for activities, supplies, and staff needed for the two week program.
The Foundation funds are a combination of donations from the annual Employee Giving Campaign and customer contributions using “make change count” coin boxes and scan cards at check stands.
Glynda Brockhoff, Philanthropy Coordinator of The Fred Meyer Foundation, said, “We hope this community grant will help the school continue the important work it is doing to enhance the welfare of the community.”
Lions Clubs all over the world have a long history of service to those who are blind or partially sighted. Local Lions Clubs have been instrumental in the continual support of the Louis Braille School and its programs.
This summer the Seattle Rainier Lions Club made a generous donation for general support of the summer Braille Camp. Their continued support is much appreciated.
The Lions Club Zone 19 B-3 donated funds to pay camp tuition for one student. Thank you for making it possible for a child to attend camp.
