First Annual Louis Braille School Benefit Auction
A final date for the first annual Louis Braille School benefit auction has been set. The auction will be held at the Edmonds Conference Center on Saturday, April 14, 2007, from 1 pm to 4 pm. We will have a special children’s activity corner, informational displays about the School, musicians, and a silent and live auction. We have an auctioneer!Collection of items for the auction began with the school’s outreach administrator’s contribution of a one week time share vacation at Rockaway Beach Resort in Rockaway Beach, Oregon in 2007, exact dates to be confirmed shortly. We also have a weekend cabin in Skagit County, some vases and tea sets with Thomas Kinkade reproductions on them, and a certificate for a commissioned painting.
We are very excited about the auction. Not only will it be an opportunity to raise funds for the Louis Braille School, but it will be a wonderful event that will bring people together to build bridges. A quote in a Starbucks ad reads, “The space between us is a bridge, not a wall.” This idea echoes nicely the philosophy of our school.
If you have ideas for the auction, would like to volunteer, or would like to donate an item for either the live or silent auction, please contact us by email. or call at 425-778-2384.
