On February 20, Louis Braille School staff member Christina Ivanna participated in the Edmonds Bookshop fourth annual “Read in the Window.” The event supports the Edmonds Elementary Read-A-Thon. Students are encouraged to sign up and read toward their personal reading goals.
Our school is named in honor of Louis Braille. He devoted his life to helping people who are blind have access to reading and books.
At the Louis Braille School we provide a complete academic program presented in ways readily understood by children who are blind or visually impaired. A very important part of this education is reading, whether it be in large print or braille.
Christina enjoyed reading a new book. She also enjoyed sitting in a rocking chair in the bookstore window in the lovely afternoon sun at our very own delightful Edmonds Bookshop.
The Edmonds Bookshop is located in downtown Edmonds at 111 5th Avenue.
