Over 900 children and parents came through the doors of Everett’s Imagine Children’s Museum on January 26, 2007. The attraction was a special hands-on exhibit marking National Eye Care Month. Activities included stories, crafts, discussions, puppets, and braille writing demonstrations.
Louis Braille School staff provided braille writing equipment and helped many excited youngsters write their names in braille.
Museum visitors also viewed braille story books with tactile illustrations and met a guide dog.
A favorite activity was decorating cardboard glasses, choosing from a wide assortment of feathers, stickers, and sparkles.
