The Louis Braille School is a private day school for children with special needs arising from vision impairment and other challenges. The school offers a full academic curriculum with instruction in life skills that promote independence integrated throughout the day. The unique community-based program is adapted and fully accessible for students with special challenges, thus enabling them to live full and meaningful lives at home, at school, and in the community.

The school’s immediate goal is to make the Louis Braille School available, accessible, and affordable to all who seek its unique services. Its ultimate goal is to facilitate a smooth transition into a regular school setting when the child is ready.

The school, which is located in Edmonds, is approved by the Washington State Board of Education for children in kindergarten through grade twelve. It is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
